for questions and details.

Description: Learn about the basic elements of the audio feature and practice blending them together into a coherent whole in this hands-on workshop led by veteran public radio producer Jonathan Miller. Come with an audio recorder or with sound files you’ve already recorded and a copy of Hindenburg Journalist editing software loaded on your computer. Hindenburg offers a free 30-day trial; the full program costs $95. (Note that there are many good editing programs out there, but Hindenburg is easy to learn and designed specifically for radio features and documentaries. Even if you plan to use another program, the principles of mixing are the same.)

**You will need:
Laptop with Hindenburg Journalist loaded. If you don’t have a laptop or can’t afford the software, you can double up with a friend.

Audio recorder, Microphone and cable (unless recorder’s internal microphones are good), Way to move audio into computer (USB cable, card reader, or SD slot), Headphones (earbuds not ideal but okay)

**equipment loans may be available at a first come first serve basis.
