Laura Flanders Speech at Izzy Award 2019 [AUDIO]

Laura Flanders, a long-time independent journalist and the founder of The Laura Flanders Show, is a 2019 Izzy Award winner. The Park Center for Independent Media at Ithaca College presents this award annually for "outstanding achievement in independent media." The 2019 awards ceremony took place on Apr. 15. 

In Flanders' Izzy Award speech, she challenged the room to think beyond the independent media bubble and truly cover issues from the ground up. WRFI first aired her speech on Apr. 19 on WRFI Community Radio News at 6.
