PCIM and FLEFF to host panel discussion on the documentary “America Street” – reported by Ithaca Voice & WRFI [AUDIO]

On Wednesday September 23 at 4pm, The Park Center for Independent Media (PCIM), and the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (FLEFF), will host a virtual panel discussion celebrating the premiere of the documentary “America Street”.

The documentary was directed by acclaimed West African filmmaker and Ithaca College professor Idrissou Mora-Kpai. “America Street” had its world premiere on Friday, September 18 through the Cinemapolis Virtual Cinema platform.

Speakers on the panel include Professor Mora-Kpai, in addition to Reece Auguiste, Associate Professor of Critical Media Practices, University of Colorado, Boulder, R.A. Judy, Professor of Critical and Cultural Studies, University of Pittsburgh, and Janet Walker, Professor of Film and Media Studies, University of California, Santa Barbara. Brett Bossard, Executive Director of Cinemapolis, will also speak on the panel. The event will be moderated by Dr. Patricia Zimmermann, Professor at Ithaca College, and co-director of FLEFF.
