Coronavirus Update, February 17, 2021

The Tompkins County Health department received 800 COVID-19 vaccine doses for the week of February 15th. 600 doses will be set aside for grocery and P-12th grade school workers that are eligible under phase 1b. The Health Department will be sending registration links for vaccinations to grocery and school workers through their employers or association networks. Those 65 and older are encouraged to check with their state’s vaccinations sites or local pharmacies.

A vaccination pop-up clinic is coming to the City of Ithaca.

It will be held at the Beverly J. Martin Elementary School.

This site will be administering 300 doses of the vaccine. Two-hundred doses are designated for people eligible under Phase 1A and 1B. The other One Hundred are reserved for people 65 and older and with comorbidities.

Eligible individuals will need an appointment to attend the clinic. GIAC will be distributing the registration link.

In Tompkins County, there are five new cases of COVID-19, totaling 141 active cases.

Schulyer County is reporting one new case for a total of eight active cases
