Lisa Holmes to Serve as Interim Tompkins County Administrator

Lisa Holmes is set to serve as Tompkins County’s Interim County Administrator.

She was unanimously voted into the position on May 4th's County Legislature Meeting. Many legislature members expressed Holmes was an obvious choice.

She has worked in Tompkins County government for over 20 years. She’s filled many roles in that time.

She began in the Office of the Aging in 1998, and eventually became the departments leader. Recently, Holmes served 18 months as the Interim Human Resources director, and currently, she serves as the Deputy County Administrator.

She will officially step into the Interim role on May 17th, overlapping with the current county Administrator, Jason Molino, until the end of May.

Holmes will be the first woman to ever serve in the role of Tompkins County Administrator.
