Unofficial Primary Results Build Anticipation for Absentee Ballots in Tompkins County

TOMPKINS COUNTY, NY -- Unofficial primary election results are in for the City of Ithaca Common Council races, the Tompkins County Legislature races, as well as races for elected town officials in Groton and Danby.

These results don’t include absentee ballots, and the official count will likely be completed sometime next week. There’s no clear indication of how many absentee ballots might be coming in. These votes could be decisive, as some of the races show narrow margins.

The results are as follows, provided by the Board of Elections.

 

 

COUNTY LEGISLATOR RESULTS

 

District 1 (4 year term) - Democratic  (Vote for 1)

Travis Brooks • 51.61% (369 votes)

Nicole LaFave • 47.97% (343 votes)

Write-in • 0.42%  (3 votes)
