- Republican Candidate for Ithaca Mayor Ends Campaign -

The Republican running for mayor in Ithaca has withdrawn from the race. Daniel Medina told the Ithaca Voice he ended his campaign because he might not be living in Ithaca much longer. The home Medina rents was sold. He says given the cost of housing in Ithaca he may have to leave the city. Medina says he plans to run for office in the future.

- Molinaro Asks Constituents To Chose His Next Priorities -

U.S. Representative Marc Molinaro is asking his constituents what issue he should work on. The freshman Republican represented the 19th congressional district which stretches from Tompkins County to the Hudson River Valley. Molinaro posted a survey on his website. People can fill it out until May 12. 

And Molinaro’s staff will have office hours in Cortland today from 10 to noon. They be in the Cortland County Office Building to hear people’s thoughts on issues and problems they are having with any federal agencies. Appointments are not required.

- Tompkins County Legislature reallocation of ARPA Funds -

The Tompkins County Legislature unanimously approved the re-allocate the remaining ARPA funding to 13 projects. A fourteenth project by Khuba International is expected to get funding after it receives some zoning approvals. Over $500,000 became available when Second Wind Cottages declined a grant for expansion. because of increased community opposition in Newfield.
