- Ithaca Wastewater Facility To Get $6.2 M For Upgrades -
The Ithaca Wastewater Treatment Facility will get funding for needed repairs. The Ithaca Times reports that the Common Council unanimously approved $6.2 million for the repairs. They include $2.7 million for a new boiler system. The facility serves the City and Town of Ithaca, and the Town of Dryden.
- Watkins Glen Parents Get Reminder About Behavior At Sports Events -
Parents in Watkins Glen have received a message warning them to behave at school sports events. The Odessa File reports the note was from Watkins Glen High School Athletic Director Rod Weeden. He told parents that new state regulations had to be put in place because of unruly behavior by parents in the past. Weeden wrote spectators could be banned from attending events and required to take two online courses. The new state rule go into effect this school year.
