Committee Reports.

Development+Outreach

Food and Country Event (9/17/24) A sold out show (180 seat theater). Lots of good feedback on the programming done. We raised $12 per ticket as well as some underwriting from some businesses, overall >$2,900 raised.

Fall fund drive report & Major donor calls

Total so far close to $14,000, making it the best Fall fund drive to date. Donor-centric language is likely helping make this a success.

Suggestion for board members to call and say thank you to donors - agreed that major donors should get priority calls first. Corrine will help coordinate a meeting and thank you script. Amy and Felix will review CiviCRM data to prep.

Year-end goals

To raise the same amount of individual giving and unrestricted grants as 2023, we need to raise another $26,000 before year end. More discussion on setting a year-end goal will happen in a future Development Committee meeting.

Finance

The Board discussed a YTD Finance Report.

Soundliner.

The Soundliner is damaged and in need of repair. It has a temporary patch for now. Discussion of possibly repairing and selling the trailer.

At 7:01 pm the Board entered executive session.

Succession Planning and Interview Progress.

We have interviewed 5 people so far. We have two more interviews pending.

We reviewed the pros and cons of each candidate we have interviewed so far. There are three stand out candidates that were discussed in particular.

ED Report.

Clinton House occupancy questions

Very loud machine noise, disruptive, even in the studio, regularly now - the landlords have not been able to resolve this issue.

Recommendation to record the noise at regular intervals and get a decibel reading if possible.

We should consider renting a different space in the longer term.

Board left executive session.

Programming Highlights

Grant submitted to HumanitiesNY for programming related to formerly incarcerated individuals

3 students from the Village at Ithaca, along with Ithaca Voice, is doing a radio program collaboration and have submitted a Legacy Foundation grant to support this work.
