WRFI Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

Agenda Items:

6:07: Call to Order.

Spring Fund Drive

We brought in >$12,000, better than some other years. 

Thanks to 4 donors, we had $3,500 in matching funds to help drive donations.

Having an all-hands meeting for volunteers over Zoom could be helpful next time to go over messaging and process to increase participation.

We want to reach out to first-time donors; will put together a dialing party to complete this outreach.

Development+Outreach

Open Country: a documentary about reclaiming country music; we could bring it to Cinemapolis with a fundraising component.

We will check out the film!

Finance

Discussion around fundraising strategies for remaining budget needs through end of year, and impact of political changes to federal funding sources.

NYS Workers Comp Forms

ICR Workers Comp does not cover Board Officers for on-the-job injuries. 

NFCB Conference

Peter proposes that WRFI funds Ben and Felix to attend NFCB. Joe seconds. The motion carried unanimously.

Transition Progress.

The board entered executive session at 7:10 pm.

The board exited the executive session at 7:21 pm.

ED Report.

Hungerford Hill update: the site has a bad line of sight to West Haven. The project is complicated logistically and seems to require a fiber internet connection to function. The benefit would be to add reliability, redundancy, and superior coverage of the Ithaca area; 

Program Coordinator position; candidates have been interviewed and are being considered.

Consent Agenda: March meeting minutes; Peter moves, Amie seconds. The motion carried unanimously.
