Board Resignation: Carlos Gutierrez
We thank Carlos and appreciate everything he has done for us.
Amendment to ByLaws M-14: Updated Board of Directors Membership
Peter moves, Joe seconds. 5 in favor, the motion passes.
Strategic Planning: Sorting Group Wisdom
Board members completed a sorting exercise prior to this meeting to sort survey comments.
Once you have finished the sorting exercise, a rating exercise becomes available. The next step will be to complete a SWOT analysis this summer.
Public participation at Board Meetings and Non Board Members Joining Board Committees.
A volunteer expressed interest in participating in a board committee. This could be a great pathway to board membership.
We could add a google form to the website for the public to express interest in joining committees - asking for contact info, why they are interested, and what skills they bring. Leads to an interview if we don’t know them; an interview could be skipped if they are already a volunteer.
We have a draft policy for inviting public members to board meetings; still needs more discussion before finalizing.
WINO status and tower situations
We can hold onto the WINO call sign by leasing it to another station, EOS. We could sell it, but it would not raise much money.
The 88.1 tower replacement job is moving ahead; additional expenses are anticipated for some electrical contractor work.
