Biggest Story of the Year

I’ll get right to the point. WRFI is outgrowing its current location. Yup, you heard me – there are some big changes coming. That makes this fundraising drive one of the most important in history.

This is the first time I’ve said this in writing, so it’s kind of a big deal. Ready for it?

WRFI is actively seeking a street-level location.

Wait what? Street Level Location?

That’s right folks, street-level. We’ve got to make room for things like:

  • Live Performances
  • Community Conversations
  • Events & Trainings
  • and most importantly YOU, the community that supports this station.

Now, more than ever, we need your support.

To take this major step towards serving our community we need an increased commitment from everybody who is already involved. Since you’re reading this, well, that’s you.

Our staff and volunteers are on board, we’re ready to make this happen. But we’re listener supported radio, and right now we’re doing our annual fall FUN Drive.

We ask for so little throughout the year. Even our donation page right now is incredible. $5 a month? Are you kidding? These days that’s just a couple cups of coffee or a decent pint of beer?

Can we get you to donate more? How about $10 a month? If you already donated, would you increase the amount?

I promise, this isn’t to be pushy. I just want you to understand what’s possible once WRFI is out in the open. Right now we’re on the third floor of a building. No signs, no events location, no public view. What will become possible once we are broadcasting to the streets?

>> Make your donation today and show the world that you are ready to help WRFI take it to the next level.

This year’s sweet design is by erstwhile WRFI deejay Aaron Goldstein, host of Opa!

Stay tuned for more updates as we move forward with our search.
