Andrea Pitzer, author, about her upcoming lecture at Cornell [audio}

Author Andrea Pitzer discusses her new non-fiction book, One Long Night:  A Global History of Concentration Camps.  She talks about how she came to write this book, how concentration camps were first established by countries that sought to control insurgent populations and how such camps still exist today.  She will be giving a lecture called, “Harbingers of the Shoah: A Century of Concentration Camps,” October 17, 4:30 PM in Goldwin Smith Hall’s Lewis Auditorium on Cornell’s Ithaca campus.
