The Home Dairy building on the Ithaca Commons will receive a historic designation after approval from the Common Council. According to the Ithaca Voice, the designation will make the building immune to certain changes that could come with the evolution of Ithaca’s downtown. The building hosted Firebrand Books, a lesbian and feminist publishing house founded in 1984.
