- Ithaca Police Officers Cleared of Any Wrongdoing in Fraud Investigation- 

Three Ithaca police officers have been cleared of all wrongdoing following an investigation by the New York State Police. Now-Acting Chief John Joly, Lieutenants Jacob Young and David Amaro were accused of making fraudulent overtime claims between 2014 and 2019. The complaint was sent anonymously to Common Council members last December. Tompkins County District Attorney Matt Van Houten asked the state police to investigate the accusations. The police union says the officers were notified of the investigation's results last week. 

- Statewide Gun Buyback Taking Place On Saturday -

Local law enforcement will be accepting guns at nine locations including in Syracuse and Johnson City near Binghamton. The guns will be accepted in exchange for gift cards worth $25 to $500 per firearm. There’s no limit on the number or types of guns that can be returned. No questions will be asked.
