- New York To Get $670 Million Federal Funding To Expand Broadband Access -

New York has received $670 million in federal funding to expand broadband access. The money comes from a $42 billion federal program that provides broadband funding nationwide. Senator Chuck Schumer says the money will help rural upstate communities and other underserved areas. The Tompkins County Legislature conducted a study last year on local broadband access. It found that 1,200 locations in Tompkins County don’t have broadband access.      

- Ithaca Police Say Missing Man Was Abducted And Possibly Killed -

Ithaca Police believe Thomas Rath was abducted and possibly killed after he went missing on May 19. Rath was first reported missing from the encampment known as “The Jungle” along Ithaca’s inlet. He is 6 feet tall and weighs about 145 lbs. He has several tattoos. One is a black and pink heart on his neck. Police would like anyone with information about Rath to contact them.
