- Seneca County Seeks Public Input On Fate Of Willard Psychiatric Center -

A public meeting will be held next week about the fate of the Willard Psychiatric Center in Seneca County. The county’s Industrial Development Agency or IDA wants to get public input about what should become of the 475-acre facility. The open house will be on July 10, 5-8 PM at the South Seneca Middle/High School in Ovid. People can stop in anytime during the three hours. The Finger Lake Times reports the property was most recently a state-run drug rehab center. A second open house will take place but has not been scheduled.

- Virtual Session Planned About The $4.2 Billion Environmental Bond Act -

A virtual information session about the state’s Environmental Bond Act will take place July 26, 6-8 PM. The session is part of a series of in-person and virtual events across the state to explain the kinds of projects the Bond Act will fund. New Yorkers voted for the $4.2 billion bond last year. It’s intended to prepare the state for climate change and create new green economy jobs. Register for the virtual session here.
