How to Listen to WRFI

FM Radio

If you're in the area, tune your car radio, clock radio, component, or pocket radio to 88.1FM in Ithaca or 89.7 FM across the Southern Finger Lakes. And make sure to make save WRFI as a preset in your car!

Of course, any radio is only as good as its antenna. This video is a good place to start when considering upgrading your antenna.

(Our Watkins Glen frequency, WINO 91.9 FM, is currently off the air. We're looking for a new home for our transmitter in the Watkins Glen area. Let us know if you have ideas!)

Laptop, Desktop, Android:

If your using a laptop or desktop computer, or any Android device, the best way to listen is to use our super convenient popup player. You can find a link to launch the player in the menu on every page of this site (Look for "LISTEN" at the top and bottom of any page).

iPhones and iOS Devices

If you're a iPhone or Apple tablet user make sure to give the Radio Rethink App a try! It's a great way to listen to WRFI and many other community stations. Plus it has some great features like, letting you save favorite songs.

Smart Speakers

You can tell your smart speaker to "play WRFI" or "play WRFI Community Radio." You can also throw away, or just unplug your speaker and just get yourself an FM radio! It will never misunderstand what you say to it, it won't spy on you, and FM has no monthly service charge!

Even More Ways to Listen

  • You can tell your smart device (Alexa, Google Home etc.) to "Play WRFI" or "Play WRFI Community Radio."
  • We are available on TuneIn | Free Internet Radio. However, we recommend other services as TuneIn inserts advertisements into our programming—and we're commercial free!
  • You can also listen (albeit in a no-frills environment) in any web browser or other devices with this link: wrfi.broadcasttool.stream:443/stream
