Green Street Parking Garage Demolition Begins

ITHACA, NY -- The demolition of the Green Street Parking Garage in Downtown Ithaca is beginning on Friday, July 16th.
The building is going down so a new parking garage can go up. The revamped garage will have 7 levels of parking, and 95 additional spaces.
Alongside the new parking garage, two other projects are also being developed: the Asteri and the Ithacan. Both buildings are planned to be 11 stories tall. Between the two, the projects will introduce 181 permanently affordable living units, 200 market rate apartments, and a conference center to downtown Ithaca.
The new Green Street Garage is anticipated to reopen in the late Fall.
