ITHACA, NY -- With students soon to arrive on campus, Cornell has updated it’s COVID policies.

Cornell now has three alert levels: green, yellow, and red. The alert levels are determined through a variety of factors, including local hospitalizations, Ithaca area COVID transmission, and the university’s capacity to isolate people.

At all alert levels, unvaccinated students, staff, and faculty will be required to participate in routine surveillance testing.

If the alert level rises from green to yellow, vaccinated people on Cornell’s campus will then be compelled to participate in surveillance testing.

Students, faculty and staff will be required to wear masks while inside Cornell facilities at all times. These spaces will not have a capacity limit while the alert level remains at green.
