Dr. Nia Nunn, Kayla Matos, and the Reverend Kenneth Clarke join Big Scoob on a special Big Scoob Show, Tuesday, May 28 at 2pm to talk about Juneteenth, its significance, and local Juneteenth Celebrations. Dr. Nunn is a professor of education at Ithaca College and President of Southside Community Center. Kayla Matos is Deputy Director of Southside Community Center and Ithaca City Alderperson for the First Ward, Reverend Clarke is the director of the Tompkins County Human Rights Commission.

This year’s Juneteenth Celebration will held on Saturday, June 15 at the Corner of South Plain St. and Cleveland Ave. The Juneteenth Jubilee will be held at the Downstairs starting at 6:30 on June 19.
