Steppin' Into My Shoes – A Radio Play by the Civic Ensemble's ReEntry Theatre Project and College Initiative Upstate

"Steppin Into My Shoes " is a three-part radio play produced for WRFI by the Civic Ensemble and College Initiative Upstate.

The in-person listening party and talkback at the Cherry ArtSpace was on September 25 and it was a beautful experience.

Based on the oral history interviews that members conducted in Fall 2020, the play was produced  exploring themes of family, harm reduction, and hopes and dreams of those who have experienced incarceration. Aiming to disrupt harmful stereotypes present in our community, this play centers the voices of those most directly impacted by pressing community concerns and amplifies them on the radio.
