– Ithaca Carshare Demands Governor Hochul Sign Bill To Prevent Permanent Closure – Ithaca Carshare says it will permanently close unless Governor Kathy Hochul immediately signs a bill solving its insurance problems. The nonprofit paused its services on May 19th due to regulatory issues that made it unable to get insurance. The bill has been on the governor’s desk since the state legislature passed it in June.
