ITHACA, NY -- Friends of Stewart Bark are postponing the park’s centennial birthday celebration until Sunday, July 11th.

It was originally scheduled for July 4th, but Stewart Park is closed after being battered by two recent storms.

Downed trees and limbs are currently being cleaned up by Ithaca's Department of Public Works. Last Friday, a major cleaning push by over 100 volunteers helped get the park on track to opening.

Stewart Park seems to be on a fast track to being public ready. A Family Fun Day is scheduled for Wednesday, July 7th. Events like Tree Climbing with Cornell Outdoor Education and Playground Karaoke will run through the afternoon and evening.

Here are schedules for the Family Fun Day and Stewart Park's 100th Birthday Bash released by Friends of Stewart Park.
