More Suspensions for Cornell Protestors- The student encampment at Cornell remains in place. On Friday four students were temporarily suspended for their participation in the self-described “Liberation Zone.” According to the Ithaca Voice, Cornell administration announced Saturday that more students would be suspended and that referrals to human resources  are being made for staff and faculty who are participating. Cornell’s VP for University Relations Joel Molina said in a letter that the encampment represents a disruption for students in nearby classes. Organizers with the Coalition for Mutual Liberation responded that the administration’s actions are an attempt to “erase protesters’ diverse identities, and our unity against genocide.” A recent referendum among Cornell undergraduates showed…
