Asteri Ithaca Gets Financial Boost From State

ITHACA, NY -- Asteri Ithaca is set to receive $52 million from New York State. The money is a part of $270 million in funding that Governor Cuomo announced would go toward affordable housing developments.
Asteri Ithaca is a 12 story mixed use building with 181 affordable apartments. Of those 181 apartments, 40 will be supportive homes.
It will also include a conference center, parking garage, plaza with outdoor seating, and more.
Asteri Ithaca will be located on what used to be the western part of the Green Street Parking Garage. Demolition on the garage to build a new parking garage as well as this project began in July.
